He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Wilkes; his parents, Alberta and Floyd Wilkes, Sr.; and his brothers, Donald, Larry and Payton Wilkes.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lee Wilkes, Jr. and Fred F. Wilkes (Monda); his siblings, Floyd Wilkes, Jr., Clyde Wilkes (Kathy), Barbara Truss (Thomas) and Mary Peppers; his grandchildren, Matthew, Robert Lee, Shelby, Fredaye and Fred II; and his great grandchild Sean. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
