He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce "Sue"; his children, Robert K. and Roberta "Suzi" (Hart); and his parents, Rufus Maynard and Ella Mae Maynard.

He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Maynard of Columbus. He is also survived by three grandchildren; one great-grand child; two brothers; and one sister.

Due to COVID-19, a memorial service at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grove City to be held at a later date.
