He is survived by: his wife Estelle D. Akers; his children, Stephanie Akers and R. J. Akers (Kim); his grandchildren, Malachi, Abigail, Noah, Presley and Colton; his brother John Mangus II; and his pet Sammy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews; cousins; and other relatives.
