He was predeceased by: his parents, Philo Lincoln Hammond and Mable Ulm; his wife Sharon S (Burton); his daughter Traci L Crable; and his sons-in-law, John Fete Murray and Jesse M. Crable.

He is survived by: his children, Teri Brown (Terry), Tami Murray (John) and Russell Hammond (Sandy). He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and a great-great grandbaby.
