We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2022, at the age of 88, Ruth Ann Gibbs (Columbus, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dewey Cardwell and Wyoma Hightower Cardwell; her husband Jack G. Gibbs; her siblings, Mary Cardwell Westcott, Janet Cardwell McCray, Louise Cardwell Clark, Lester Cardwell (Evelyn), Robert Cardwell and William Cardwell; her great grandchild Aviana Parker; and her daughter-in-law Aloma Gibbs.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Gibbs, Jr. and Cheryl Gibbs Parker (Augustus, III); her grandchildren, Jack Gibbs, III, Anna Gibbs, Augustus Parker, IV (LaToya), Jason Parker (Eloisa) and Krista Parker (Willie); her great grandchildren, Naveia Parker, Kailyn Parker, Deshawn Walden and Lorenzo Parker; and her sister-in-law Louise Williams (Roger). She is also survived by dog, Precious was her dear companion for 17 years.
Due to the pandemic and for health and safety reasons, a private immediate family only service will be held at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Home, 720 East Long St., Columbus, Ohio 43203.
