He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Francis, Theresa DeMatteis, Clarence and Therese Nye; and his uncles, Robin Nye and Dan DeMatteis.

He is survived by: his parents, David Nye and Sharon Nye (DeMatteis); his wife Stephanie Nye (Newcomer); his stepson Quintin Frey; and his parents-in-law, Don and Melanie Newcomer.

Due to Covid restrictions, there will be A Celebration of Shane's Life at a later date.
