He was predeceased by: his parents, William Steinhart and Tillie Steinhart. He is survived by: his wife Lola Steinhart; his son Steve Steinhart (Lisa); his brother Ed Steinhart (Anita Fellman); his grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Steinhart; and his brother-in-law Peter Schwartz (Marian).
