She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Ashbee and Hazel Ashbee (Tomlinson); and her husband Hays G. Stewart. She is survived by: her children, Sally Stewart of Salem, Richard Stewart (Karen) of Winter Haven, FL, Mindi Steele (Eric) of Simpsonville, SC and Michael "Andy" Stewart of Salem. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Labre Indian School.
