He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Smith and Pricie Smith; his brother Carl Smith; and his granddaughter Peggy Jean Robinette. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; and his children, Brenda Melchor (Robert), Virginia Robinette (Prentice), Machele Rupert (Scott) and Thomas Jr. Thomas. He is also survived by 8 sisters and 2 brothers, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
