He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Thomas and Melba Faye Holstein Sexton; his brothers, Thomas "Keith" Sexton and Gary Sexton; his sister-in-law Sharon Sexton; and his nephew-in-law Jeff Richard.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Charlene Parish Sexton of Columbus; and his sibling's children, Brian Sexton, Mark Sexton (Dana), Kurt Sexton (Michele), Gena Richard and Anita Copeland (Bill).
