He was predeceased by: his father Vincent L. McElroy Sr.; his brother Stanley J. McElroy; and his stepfather Larry L. Adams. He is survived by: his mother Maggie Ray Adams; his close friend Georgette McElroy; his son Vernon McElroy II (Sara); his grandchildren, Vernon III, River and Violette; his son Michael McElroy (Adelina); his grandchildren, Cameron and Jaxon; his daughter Jenee' Dorsey (Dennis Jr.); his stepson Jovaan Mills (Ashley); his stepgrandchildren, Day, Aaliyah and Jameer; his stepson Jarell Mills; his niece Kaysha Prunty; and his brothers, Vincent McElroy Jr. (Tonia), Virgil McElroy (Wylena) and Larry Guy Adams (Erika). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
