He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann Banks (Croud) of Columbus; his daughters, Anne Banks McCoppin (Todd) of Powell, Nancy Ruth Banks (John Opfer) of Columbus and Sandra Helen Banks of Columbus; his grandchildren, Taylor Belle McCoppin and Nathan Darrell McCoppin; his siblings, Barbara Reiger (George) of Locustville, VA and Robert Banks (Sue) of Lakeland, FL; his stepsiblings, Sheryl V. Thacker of Atlanta and Andrew A. Vernon (Janice) of Snellville, GA; and his siblings' children, Kaitlyn Banks of Dallas, Bill Banks of Austin and Christopher Reiger (Elizabeth) of Santa Rosa, CA..

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will hold a celebration of Wendell's life at a time TBD.
