He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Walter and Maggie Taylor; his grandson Isiah Levi; and his aunt Kathe Schirtzinger. He is survived by: his mother Patricia A. Mitchell Sr. (Mahan); his wife Mary Peters; his father Bill Mitchell (Becky); his siblings, Josh (Rica), Nathan (Heather), Amanda Mitchell, Melinda Phyllis and Herbert "Herbie" Schirtzinger; his children, Emily Gatton (Thomas Moran), Christina Ann Brown (Jon), Honesty Caldwell (Austin), William Gatton, Hannah "Bug" Gatton, Cheyenne Schirtzinger, Olivia and Nathan Smith; and his grandchildren, Sophie, Aurora, Clayton, Brycen, Maxwell, Xavier, Amelia and Carson.
