It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William E. Gilbert of Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on September 14, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Russell Gilbert and Herbert Gilbert; and his brother Larry Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gilbert (Patty); his daughters, Billie Jo Gilbert, Nina Mengali (Phil) and Diana Harris (Vic); his grandsons, Michael, Billy and Ben Toppins (Jacki); his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Alice Toppins; his brother-in-law Joseph Myers of Columbus; and his brother Garry Gilbert of Lawrenceburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to assist with medical expenses.
