He was predeceased by: his brother Erik Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Lori Sword Patterson; his son Nicholas Reid (Melanie); his parents, Lawrence Patterson and Saundra Patterson; his grandsons, Nicholas Jr. and Julian; and his brothers, Brian Patterson (Melissa) and David Patterson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
