He was predeceased by : his parents, Esther Mae Wright (Fortney) and George D. Wright, Sr.; and his siblings, Merle Wright, Shirley Douglas, Judy Wright and Janice Thomas.

He is survived by : his children, Amber Wright, Aleasha Hanshaw (Marshall) and Dylan Wright; his granddaughters, Aaleayah and Brooklyn Gardner; and his siblings, Barbara Loepp, Lois Williamson, Debbie Storozuk (Mitchell), Melanie Wright, Kenny Wright, Donnie Wright (Linda) and George Wright, Jr. (Tita). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
