She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold L. "Bud" and Edith Rosalie Thompson (Smith); and her brother James Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth R. Cotton; her children, Ron Keyes (Deborah), Tammi Keyes, Lynnette Peters (Robert) and Kimberly Gilmore; her sisters, Linda Thompson and Barbara Schoen (Norris); her sister-in-law Denise Thompson; her grandchildren, Kiffany Francis, Kristen Keyes, Shannon Haberern (Randy), Tim Anderson, Traece Tullos (Nick), Travis Gilmore (Amanda), Beth Johnson (Jake), Jessie Gilmore and Allie Howland (Matt); and her stepdaughters, Jackie, Barb and Dorothy. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

Memorials in her memory may be given to the Conneaut Church of Christ.
