He was predeceased by: his son Thomas S. Gillespie (Deanna Gillespie). He is survived by: his parent Margaret Gillespie; his significant other Jo C. Newhouse of Cortland; his children, Sandra L. Schilling (David) of Strongsville, Teresa M. Steiger (Kenneth) of Nazareth, Pennsylvania and Howard J. Gillespie of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Leia, Kileigh, Kyle, Cindy, Ashley, Kelly, Elizabeth, Amanda, Natalie, Thomas and Ariana; his stepchildren, Lori Newhouse-Tehrancipour (Chris) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Timothy Newhouse (Mary Ellen) of West Chester; and his pet Toby.
