He was predeceased by: his parents, George Swauger and Leotta Swauger (Zaroff); his wife Gloria J. Swauger; his siblings, Bill Swauger and Ella Mae Korinko; and his niece Jennifer McGonagle.
He is survived by: his children, Arthur L. Swauger Jr. (Suzie) of Coshocton, Albert R. Swauger of New Philadelphia, Georgeana "Tink" Miller (Joe Taylor) of Coshocton and Brenda Swauger of Newcomerstown; his grandchildren, Ashlee, Brenda Lee, Dave, Joshua L. Amore, Amy and Bobbi (Jimmy); and his great grandchildren, David, Mia, Jaymz, Brayden, Trinity, Rosie and Ceegan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
