He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell DeVore, and Wanda DeVore, Sr. (Wolf); his wife Ruth DeVore (Bauer); his daughter Arlene Whitmer; his son-in-law Tony Sloan; his brother-in-law Eldon Bauer; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Doris Bauer (Minich).
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Sloan of Crestline; his grandchildren, Olivia, Levi, Nate and Emily; his great grandchildren, Gabriel and Eloise; his son-in-law Todd Whitmer (Sarah) of Litchfield; his brother-in-law Richard Bauer; and his sister Barbara Denniman (Bob) of Mansfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crestline Chapel, West Main St. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Service, Crestline Chapel (223 W Main St, Crestline, OH 44827).
