He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Lou and Mary Lou. He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his children, Molly (Patrick Chambers) and Louie; his grandchildren, Beau and Paige; his siblings, Linda Tilton (Steve), Gerry Myers (Donna) and Judy Babak (George); his sisters-in-law, Clare Myers, Becky Calaman (Doug) and Sherry Pettit; his friend Lee Hamill; his cousins, Patty and Don Richwine; and his niece Maggie. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home (1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221). A Mass was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (2859 Lillis Dr, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made on Joe's behalf to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association on behalf of the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Fighters IAFF Local 494.
