With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald E. Godown of Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on January 11, 2021 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald E. Godown to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Clifford R. Godown and Irene Godown (Klenz); his sister Marilyn Early; his brothers-in-law, Ed Ellis and Gene Nowacki; his wife Janet Godown (Ash); his children, Scott Godown, Amy Conley (Duane) and Amanda Smith (Mike); his grandchildren, Austin Schauer, Dan Smith (Hope), Jacob Smith (Lexi), Lauren Collins (Brent) and Brandon Conley; his great grandchildren, Eliza Lyric Jean Smith and Grayson Neal Collins; and his sisters, Sandy Nowacki (Charles Roup) and Bonnie Ellis. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a visitation (please follow COVID-19 guidelines, mask and social distancing), Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Fairhaven Church Northmont Campus, 5001 National Road, Clayton, Ohio 45315 starting at 11:00 am followed by a celebration of Don's life at 12:00 pm with Pastor Doug Carroll presiding.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Don may be made to Fairhaven Church.
