She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Hughes and Mary Hughes (Plummer); her siblings, Fred, Harlan, Perk, John, Cliff, Carl Dean, Tom Hughes and Lorena Hughes; her grandsons, Clyde Nelson Tharp Jr. and Noah Matthew Vess; and her son-in-law Clyde Nelson Tharp Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Tina Tharp, Rebecca "Becky" Wargo (Greg) and Herbert John Leeper; and her grandchildren, Carissa, Michelle (Sean), Lisa (Brandon), Jesse, MaKenna, Tyler, Garrett, Audrey, Krista (Brandon), Josh (Madison), Jacob, Alex (Jolie), Andrew, Katie and Ty (Samantha). She is also survived by 29 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Willow View Cemetery (2500 Neff Rd, Dayton, OH 45414).
