She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louie F. Werner and Chloe Werner (Friend); her former husband Clarence Eugene Metzger; her husband Richard D. Schmelzer; her children, Linda Buettner (Steve) of Delphos, Barbara Hall (Alan) of Steubenville, OH and Michael Metzger (Lorrie) of Fort Meyers, FL; and her sister Thelma Brinkman. She was also cherished by five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Delphos Jefferson High School.
