She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn William Finkhousen and Goldie Evelyn Finkhousen; her husband Ralph D. Gillespie; her son Jerry Gillespie; and her siblings, Don Finkhousen, Patricia Rolston, Mary Jean Gorman and Barbara Tomlinson.
She is survived by: her children, Gary L. Gillespie (Chrystal) of Auburn, IN, Bill Gillespie (Tina) of Angola, IN, Jeffrey A. Gillespie of Convoy and Kimberly Kimmet (Shawn) of Delphos; and her sister Virginia Moysey of Columbus. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth's memory may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the National Leukemia Foundation. .
