Maurer Jr. of Dover, Ohio, born in Orrville, Ohio, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harland M. Maurer, and Helen Maurer, Sr. (Wayble); and his siblings, Kenneth Maurer, Patty Loibl and Sondra Pauline.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Anne Maurer; his children, Debra Goodwin (Matthew) and Robert "Rob" Maurer (Jennifer); his stepchildren, Correy Henry (Josh), Lindsay Kirschnick (Jason), Courtney Yingling (Bryan), Jodi Hupp and Jennifer Poole (Troy); his grandchildren, Trace Ricketts, Megan Maurer, Lily Goodwin and Drew Maurer; and his stepgrandchildren, Brody, Amelia, Gracyn, Scarlett, Madelynn Henry, John Demuth, Samantha, Ben, Andrew Hawk, Travis Poole, Trevor Poole (Nadia) and Alfie Kirschnick.
