He was predeceased by: his former wife Esther Faye Akers (Bell); his siblings, Marian Beatty, Paul, Leslie and Kermit; and his stepdaughter Teresa Magyar.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his children, Theresa Watson (Michael) of Bellingham, WA, Laura Dean (Harlan) of Deming, WA, Daniel Akers (Crystal) of Buckeye, WV and Jennifer George (William) of Ucross, WY; his stepchildren, Linda Gundersen of Doylestown, OH and Patrick Farrell (Joan) of Navarre, OH; and his sister Shirley Riddle (Marty) of Cedar Hill, TX. He is also survived by 6 step grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren.
