He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Maple and Dorothy Marie Maple (DeVore); his siblings, W. Dale Maple, Donald L. Maple and Evelyn Generous; and his grandson Landon Morrison.

He is survived by : his wife Susan A. Maple (Oldaker); his daughters, Jodi Waugh (Robert) and Amanda Yonts (David); his grandchildren, Tory, Nycole, Ryder and Nellie; and his niece Deborah Generous (Eugene Potts). He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
