He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Minton and Coatna Gossett Minton; his wife Beatrice Clemons Minton; his son Robert L. Minton; and his siblings, Finus (Ida), Roxie Zakula (John), Eunice Hasse (Harry), Leslie (Mabel), Inus, Elsie Mosley (Grant), Clay (Ruth) and Kenneth (Betty).
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Minton Hamilton of Cincinnati; his grandsons, Robert A. Minton Sr., Matthew and Joshua Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Shawn, Makayla and Robert A. Minton Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
