He is survived by: his mother Emma Maddox of Englewood; his brother James B. Maddox Jr. of Centerville; his aunts and uncles, Alene Payne, Wanda Smith, Carol Quirino, Ben Wentworth (Lorraine), John Maddox (Deborah), Bill Maddox (Debra), Floyd Abbott and Debbie Maddox; and his pets, Rambo and Rocky. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
