He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Denlinger and Emma Denlinger (Flora); his former wife Helen Denlinger (Miller); his siblings, Norma Fisher (John), Ramon Denlinger (Esther), Paul "Bill" Denlinger and Merlin Denlinger; his sister-in-law Edna Denlinger; and his stepson Donnie Bower.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bower Denlinger (Austin); his children, Gary Denlinger (Mary Jane) of Brookville, Sheryl Boone (Terry) of California, Sandra Stull (Brian) of Ludlow Falls and Dan Denlinger (Suzanne) of Arcanum; his stepchildren, Michael Bower (Glenna) of Virginia, Wayne Bower (Angie) of Virginia, Dale Bower (Cindy) of Virginia and Lisa Newell (Hayden) of Virginia; his stepdaughter-in-law Susan Bower of Virginia; his siblings, Faye Garber (Paul), Floyd Denlinger and Don Denlinger (Shirley); his sisters-in-law, Doris Denlinger and Sherry Denlinger; his grandchildren, Paula Flory (Jake), Patty Wolf (Rodney), Missy Brubaker (Eric), Robin Yost (Lynton), Pam Lynch (Doug), Stephen Boone (Morgan), David Boone (Katie), Michael Boone (Lynelle), Josh Stull (Jenni), Jordan Stull (Katie), Luke Stull (Jessica), Sara Brenneman (Garrett), Jessica Miller (Weston), Simon Denlinger (Daisy), Carson Denlinger and Samantha Denlinger; and his stepgrandchildren, Rochelle Potter (Drew), Brian Bower, Jared Bower, Chad Bower, Camille Bower, Sheldon Bower (Thurston), Shelia Bower, Travis Bower, Tyler Bower, Jeremy Bower (Katie), Candace Bower, Christopher Bowman (Elizabeth), Beth Bowman and Shannon McLeod (George). He is also survived by 13 step-great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the Brethren Heritage Center.
