He was predeceased by: his parents, Durward and Gladys; and his son Ray Donald. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughter Debra Labay (Michael); his brother Jack (Shirley); his grandchildren, Benjamin Labay (Heather), Nicholas Labay (Tiffany), Timothy Labay (Jessy Estep) and Andrea Labay (Brandon Davis); his great grandchildren, Evan, Noah, Charlotte, Aidan Labay, Nadia Estep and Brantley Davis; and his nephews, Randy Stewart and Roger Stewart.
