He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine and Mary; and his daughters, Valerie Gladding and Cheri Trumbull. He is survived by: his wife Liz Gavlick; his daughter Lisa Guthleben (Fred); his grandchildren, Fred Guthleben (Jessica), Aimee Guthleben, Connor Trumbull, Colin Trumbull, Bobby Gladding and Brandon Gladding; his son-in-law Paul Trumbull; and his siblings, Lori Cannon, Arlene Adamchak (Rudy) and Joseph Gavlick.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory (368 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). The military honors will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
