It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ghnelda J. Schimmoeller of Fort Jennings, Ohio, who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Alt and Luella Alt (Ricker); her spouse Cleo J. "Click" Schimmoeller; her siblings, Viola Topp (Robert), Robert Alt, John Alt (JoLou), Bill Alt (Dorothy), Bernard Alt (Dorothy), Richard "Dick" Alt and Daniel Alt; and her in-laws, John Hilvers, Kenneth VonSossan and JoAnn Schimmoeller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Harter (Mike Keeney) of Marion, Nancy Will (Joe) of Fort Jennings and Kimberly Fortman (Gary) of Kalida; her grandchildren, Jason Will (Nikki), Jeremy Will (Bethany), Jacquelyn Huckereide (Brian), Stacey Bice, Brett Harter, Tristine Bockrath (Nick) and Dustin Fortman (Kelsey); her brother Kenneth Alt (Sandy) of Michigan; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Alt of Leipsic, Annette Hilvers of Ottoville, Ethel Recker of Ottoville, Margaret Von Sossan of Fort Jennings, Sister Jane Schimmoeller of Tiffin, Catherine Schimmoeller (Roger) of Ottoville and Paul Schimmoeller of Kalida. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home - Jackson Twp (16085 OH-634, Fort Jennings, OH 45844). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (135 N Water St, Fort Jennings, OH 45844).
