He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ira Coon and Daisy Coon (Russler); his former wife Margery L. Brewbaker; his spouse E. Vondale Wood; his children, Gregary G. Coon (Julie) of Ft. Wayne and Marcene Jackson (Mike Anspach) of Toledo, Ohio; his grandchildren, Chris Jackson (Hayley), Scott Jackson, Talia Coon and Sue Anna Peters (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Parker Jackson, Owen Jackson, Samantha Jackson, Kaitlin Peters and Camron Peters; his stepchildren, Bill Wood (Carolyn), Rev. Bob Wood (Gloria), Dr. David Wood (Linda) and Raelene Phillips (Dan); his son Gary L. Coon; his siblings, Myron, William Coon, Anna Blanche Coon and Evva M. Gallaway; and his stepson John Wood (Tammy). He was also cherished by 12 step-grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren and 8 step great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions a private family service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 5, 2020 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
