He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cunningham and Shirley Alice Cunningham (Andrews); his former wife Mary "Winnie" Hyslop; his wife Suzanne Dee Nesselhauf; his son Samuel A. Cunningham; his grandson Joshua Robert Minton; and his brothers, James and Henry G. Cunningham.
He is survived by: his children, Sally D. Minton (Bob) and Scott Ross Cunningham (Karlie); his grandchildren, Kimberly Spencer, Gavin Cunningham, Maddox Cunningham, Rhiannon Cunningham and Dexter Cunningham; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn Smith and Hailey Smith; and his sister Shirley Marks (Ray).
