He is survived by: his wife Patty Shaw; his son Thomas "Gene" Gillig (Jenny); his adoptive daughter Leah R. LaCourse; his grandchildren, Brenda Gillig, Eden, Alex and Hadley LaCourse; his close friend Lynda Roberts; and his siblings, JoAnn Doe (Roger) and Michael Gillig (Margaret "Peggy").
