He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Tackett and Rushie Tackett (Caudill); his children, Dale Tackett and Tracey Kelley; his siblings, Richard Tackett, George Tackett, Jack Caudill, Kermit Tackett, Wanda Copas, Brenda Burlile, Virgil Tackett and Mance "Foster" Tackett; and his pet Foxy.

He is survived by : his wife Vickie "Anna" Tackett (Stroup); his children, Wayne Brown and Pam Russell; his stepchildren, Bill, Mike, Joe and Ronda; his grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Wesley, Dylan, Tesla, Terrance, Aaliyah, Hunter, Karter, Lucas, Aiden, Rilee, Nova, Davy, Dusty, Devvin, Dustin, Shiann, Veronica, Briyar, Victoria, Vanessa, Austin, Ocean, Harley and Kayana; and his siblings, Emmy Tackett (Sis), Kemmard Tackett and Bill Tackett (Pat). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
