He was predeceased by : his parents, Orville Tackett and Goldie Tackett (Gillispie). He is survived by : his wife Nancy Tackett (Shirbish); his stepchildren, Lori Forbes, Rob Gulis, Jeff Gulis, Theresa Krupa (Eric) and Dave Coe; and his nieces and nephews, Joell Dillow (Dave), Anthony Tackett (Cathy), Connie Ward (Tom) and Denise Lynn Hensley (Mike). He is also survived by eleven step-grandchildren.
