He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Schank (Klause); and his wife Mary Rutherford. He is survived by : his children, Leo (Patty) of Fremont, Thomas Schank (Kimberly) of Fremont, Nancy Crispen (Mark) of Fremont, Pam Weller (John) of Kansas, OH and Karen Schank of Fremont. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with his funeral c/o his daughter, Nancy Crispen.
