He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marks and Florence Marks (Chaney); his former wife Carolyn R. Wells; his wife Regina Rutledge; his daughter Donna Hanshaw; his siblings, Lee Allen Hildreth and Florabelle Berry; and his granddaughter Tammy Hanshaw.
He is survived by: his children, Dewey Marks Jr. (Nora) of Galion, Diane Remington of Phoenix and Bonnie Damron (Clayton) of Phoenix, Arizona; his son-in-law Dale Hanshaw of Galion; and his brother Charles Hildreth. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
