He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton A. "Nick" Tolar and Burnetta D. "Bernie" Tolar (Triplett) of Iberia; his son-in-law Corey Tolar; and his friends, Wendy Tolar and Paul Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Heather Smith (Brian) of Galion, Travis Tolar (Michele) of Galion, Zachary Tolar of Mansfield and Mindy Guegold (Josh) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Joscelyn Tolar, Nadia Tolar, Morgan Guegold, Kendall Guegold, Gage Tolar, Jesse Tolar, Kody Frye, Gavin Tolar, Gabriel Tolar and Zane Tolar; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Mia, Frank, Kayden and Isabella; and his siblings, Garry (Michelle), Pat Beatty (Rick), Nickie Burton (Bobby), Hope Smith (Dan), Brenda Shumaker (Tom) and Kim Staiger (Jamie).
Due to the Covid pandemic and for the health of all his loved ones, a celebration of Steve's life will take place at a later date.
