He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Furr and Cora Furr (Carpenter); his spouse Darcia Furr (Gaul); his son Willie Furr; his grandchildren, Corey Furr and Courtney Furr; and his brother Lloyd Furr.
He is survived by: his children, Melodie Swango (Michael), Steven Furr, Kevin Furr (Debbie), Ronald Furr (Tina) and Rory Furr (Tammy); his grandchildren, Mikila Swango (Shawn Mowery), Mindy Breeze (Brandon), Mare Swango (Crystal), Nick Furr, Jayla Furr, Shane Furr, Tiffany Lohr (Chris), Levi Furr (Deana), Morgan Miller (Jake), Heather Carver (Roger), Misty Cole (Andy), Jennifer Marsh (Denny), Brittney Porter (Daniel), Wesley Furr (Brook), Jared Furr and S. Army; and his siblings, Gerri Shaw (Floyd), Edna Zigler, James Furr, Herb Furr (Kate), Dick Furr (Barb) and Fred Furr (Jennifer). He is also survived by his 31 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
