She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Walter William Shimshock; her daughters, Lisa Fulkerson (Alan), Lynne Craig (Patrick), Lorie Walchanowicz (David) and Kristy Shimshock; and her grandchildren, Kelly Craig, Shannon Smith (Andrew), Michael Fulkerson, Shelby Walchanowicz and Courtney Craig. She was also cherished by one of nine children and she and her sister both married brothers.
