She was predeceased by: her husbands, Martin Garza and Alfonzo R. Barron; her stepchildren, Jesse Garza and Juanita Amaya; and her siblings, Lidia Villarreal, Jesus, Trinidad, Felix, Fernando, Ormar and Rodolfo Mercado.
She is survived by: her children, John Vicharelli (Emma) and Maria Giles (Mike); her stepdaughter-in-law Rosa Garza; and her stepdaughters, Mary Lou Gonzalez (Rene) and Nora Quintero. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren and 25 step-great grandchildren.
