He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin B. Messer and May Bell Messer (Lee). He is survived by: his children, Daniel Messer (Christina), Calvin Messer and Kristi Slane (Terri Slane); his grandchildren, Darian Messer, Trevor Esker, Joe Esker and Ali Shultz; and his siblings, Deborah Dobson and Randy Messer.
