He was predeceased by : his parents, Forest L. Fitzgerald and Delores Fitzgerald (Gracemeyer); and his siblings, Richard Fitzgerald (Donna), Joanne Green (Doug) and Sheila Long (Jim).

He is survived by : his wife Sharon R. Kilgus; his children, Brian Fitzgerald of Houston, TX and Denise Kosec of Gibsonburg, OH; his brother Fred Fitzgerald (Linda) of Clyde, OH; his granddaughter Emily Hepperly (Tyler Crump); and his great grandchild Theo Jax Crump.

Donations in Dennis's name may be made to Shiloh Global Church in Helena, or to his daughter, Denise Kosec for the establishment of an education fund for his great-grandson, Theo.
