With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Schumm of Girard, Ohio, born in McDonald, Ohio, who passed away on February 23, 2021 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Mercer and Rosalie Schumm (Schoffstall); his wife Virginia Schumm; his sons, Charles and Richard Schumm; his daughter-in-law Dr. Marsha J. Betley; and his sister Leah Mae Schumm.

He is survived by : his son Dr. James W. Schumm (TiTi McNeill) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; his grandson Richard W. Schumm (Patty Pepper) of Niles; and his great grandchild Richard Mitchell Schumm.

William's request was that any memorial contributions be made to: Marsha J. Betley Memorial Fund, University of Wisconsin, 550 Linden Dr., Madison, Wisconsin 53706.
