He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Harry Polker and Pauline Polker (Helmke); his wife Janette Light; his children, Thomas Polker (Julie) of Napoleon, Susan Reckner (Alan) of Grand Rapids, Jack Polker (Diann) of Grand Rapids, Jane Crosby (Bruce) of Grand Rapids, Joel Polker (Karen) of Grand Rapids and Nancy Kelly (Terrance) of Grand Rapids; and his siblings, Patricia Treadwell of Toledo, Leona Gilliland and Richard Polker. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waterville Community Church or a church of any donor's choice.
