It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delores Jean Hayes of Granville, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lester Franklin and Marjorie Evelyn Stewart (Green); her brother James F. Stewart; her parents-in-law, Merle A. and Wanda L. Hayes; and her siblings-in-law, Lorraine, Chuck Gilson I, Allan, Shirley Hayes and Norman Lance.

She is survived by : her husband Melvin "Mel" Edward Hayes; her children, Michael Hayes (Dana) of Canton, OH, Melodee Kirkpatrick (Gary) of Newark, OH and Mark Hayes of Columbus, OH; her grandchildren, Abigail Rehbeck (Darby), Benjamin Hayes, Lydia Latiolais (Andrew), Lindsey Hayes, Nathan Hayes (Sara Starkey) and Hannah Schmikla (Christian); her great grandchildren, Pace, Milo, Graham, Stella, Claire and Vera; her sisters-in-law, Beverly Gilson and Carolyn Hayes; and her nephew Chuck Gilson II. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Inactive - Johnson United Methodist Church (3409 Johnson Rd, Norton, OH 44203). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Johnson United Methodist Church (3409 Johnson Rd, Norton, OH 44203).
